Compose a still life that has never existed, then have it printed, framed if you like, and shipped to your door.
Still Life Code is a painter written in code. It sets a table of fruit and vessels, lights it from a single window, and then paints the scene the way a studio would — in oil, acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, on Delft tiles or in silk thread. Every click makes a still life that has never existed before. When one of them belongs on your wall, order it and I print that exact painting.
It paints in your own browser — nothing is uploaded, and a painting takes about 20 to 45 seconds.

Akira Ishi is a French artist who works with code. The work centres on simplicity with depth: minimal forms used to express complex ideas, built through a process that is iterative, patient and deeply personal.
It began with music — violin first, then drums, where playing live taught them how an audience feels a piece before it understands it. That instinct now goes into images. With a background in fine arts, graphic design and web development, Akira starts from an idea, then sculpts and refines the algorithm until the result says what the idea meant.
Every piece is generative. Rather than drawing a single picture, Akira writes the system that draws it: the program can produce endless variations, and the artist's work is choosing, tuning and knowing when a composition is finished. What you find in the shops are the outcomes worth keeping, prepared as prints made to last.
Constraints are the method. Limiting a piece to a single shape, a narrow palette or a fixed grid is not a restriction but a catalyst — it focuses the work and gives it its character. An entire series has been built from nothing but ellipses.
The journey has been as much personal as creative, built on the habit of sharing work that is honest. Influenced more by ideas than by trends, the aim is simple: to make work that is unmistakably their own, and to see some of it end up on your wall.
